What to bring to your first therapy appointment:
If you have recently had surgery or are being referred by your doctor, please bring a prescription stating your condition and/or injury, and what your doctor would like us to work on. If you do not have a prescription we will assess your needs at your first appointment. Please remember to bring your insurance card and photo ID as well.
What to expect:
On your first visit, you will have an interview with one of the Therapists so they can better understand your injury or condition and set up an individualized treatment plan to fit your specific needs. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and tennis shoes for your appointments as you may be doing some exercises or stretching activities.
Individualized treatment plans:
Each patient will have an individualized treatment plan which will include exercises and stretches specific to your needs. You will usually meet with your therapist 1-3 times each week depending on your treatment plan. As you progress with your treatment we will modify your plan to help you achieve the highest level of performance possible. Your Therapist and Doctor will be in contact on a regular basis to go over your progress and stay updated on your specific needs.
Home Exercise Plans:
You may be given exercises and or stretches to do on your own at home. These exercises/stretches will aid you in completing your therapy plan and building up your strength, endurance and/or range of motion.
